Be sure to get your tickets early in
March so you don’t miss out.

You wonder where the unusual name of Vizcaya came from? A recent visit to this picturesque winery located in Kuna gave us the answer when we met the owners, Larry and Kay Hansen.
Without going into too much detail, Larry conceived the name several years ago because of its meaning. It is the Basque word for “Prominence.” He and Kay have been growing grapes since 2004 and knew that one day they would open a winery. That day came this year in late fall.
They refurbished a beautiful old farmhouse and it’s just so delightful you want to stay and visit awhile.
Right out of the shute, they produced excellent wines. They hired an experienced winemaker, Mike Crowley of Syringa Winery in Boise and together
they waltzed right out the 2015 Idaho Wine Competition with a Double Gold/Best of Class for their 2011 Tempranillo and a Silver medal for their 2014 Albarino.
You must go and see for yourself, and taste the wines from the newest addition to the wineries of Idaho.
