Idaho’s Food and Wine Festival
Sunday, June 12, 2016

It’s early in the season but it’s the
perfect time for thinking ahead.  Idaho’s Premier Food and Wine Festival is on the horizon.

Be sure to get your tickets early in
March so you don’t miss out.

Bill Stowe, winemaker/owner of Indian Creek Winery is known as the Godfather of the Idaho wine industry.  He is one of the original wineries in Idaho and known for his signature wine, Pinot Noir.

Being in the Air force, while in Germany, he had an opportunity to work around the industry.  A spark ignited and a love was born.  Later when he was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, he and his wife, Mui bought 20 acres in Kuna.

The rest is history.

As you drive up you are greeted by gorgeous dahlias and flowers grown by Mui, Bill’s wife.   It’s a delight to visit.   Tammy Stowe-McClure and her husband Mike McClure, winemaker, are now second generation and they have done a fabulous job running the winery and producing excellent wines.

During Harvest season when you visit, you might just get to punch down some grapes during the fermenting process.  They’ll explain what’s happening and give you some hands on experience.

This family run business is a treasure in itself.  A delightful stop in Idaho Wine Country!
